Code of Conduct

The Mobilization conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone regardless of sexual orientation, race, gender identity and expression, physical appearance, disabilities, body size, neurodiversity, ethnicity, neurodiversity, nationality, religion (or lack thereof), age, technology choices or other protected category.

All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at Mobilization conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We do not tolerate harassment of Mobilization participants in any form. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.

Anti-Harassment Policy

Mobilization policy extends to talks, forums, workshops, codelabs, social media, parties, hallway conversations, all attendees, partners, sponsors, volunteers, event staff. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Facebook, Twitter and other online media. You catch our drift. Mobilization reserves the right to refuse admittance to, or remove any person from the conference at any time in its sole discretion. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organisers.

Exhibiting partners, sponsors or vendor booths, or similar activities are also subject to this policy. In particular, they should not use sexualised images, activities, clothing/uniforms/costumes or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualised clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualised environment.Participants and exhibiting partners or sponsors disobeying this policy will be notified and are expected to stop any offending behavior immediately.

Our conference staff can usually be identified by special attire. Our zero tolerance policy means that we will look into and review every allegation of violation of our Anti-Harassment Policy and respond appropriately. Please note, while we take all concerns raised seriously, we will use our discretion as to determining when and how to follow up on reported incidents, and may decline to take any further action and/or may direct the participant to other resources for resolution.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately. Conference staff can be identified as they'll be wearing branded clothing and/or badges.We will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing discomfort or harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance.
